Colorado Springs Fine Art Center at Colorado College presents
Jane Doe Initiative: Blackhawk
This elemental and intuitive film debuting the work of the Jane Doe Initiative was funded by a 3×3 Projects: Creative Collaborations from Isolation grant from the Fine Art Center and Performing Arts at Colorado College. The criteria, "from isolation," adds a powerful layer to the discussion the Jane Doe Initiative seeks to present. As we collaborate from a distance and in isolation inflicted by the pandemic, we create artwork that holds space for women who were forced into permanent and complete isolation. We could not have found a more appropriate avenue to launch our first collective work with our intention to spark empathy and awareness regarding "Jane Does" everywhere. Many thanks to the Fine Art Center of Colorado College for this partnership.
